It's great to have you with us. If there is anything we can assist with, please let us know. BBRC AGM - Nominations close Wed 22nd February at 5pm. The Club's Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday 29th February at 7:00pm at the clubrooms. All financial members are welcome to attend. Documents relating to the meeting, including the Annual Accounts, will be appearing shortly on our website. Just a reminder we will be taking nominations for the following positions within the Club: Club President, Vice President Squash, Club Captain Squash (Men & Women), Vice President Tennis, Club Captain Tennis, Squash Committee Members, Tennis Committee Members, Junior Convenor Squash and Junior Convenor Tennis. The Executive would like to put forward the motion below which will need to be voted upon.: Motion 1: To introduce increase all membership fees by the CPI except for Junior and Family memberships. The Club's facilities constantly require maintenance due to its age, which I am sure you are all aware. Funding from Trusts for grants is still hard to obtain and support with fund-raising efforts has sadly decreased. We look forward to seeing you at the meeting. SQUASH INTERCLUB due to start – You will find dates on the website – please send us an email or fill out form in the foyer if you wish to apply to play. Please remember that you need to be a current member to apply for interclub – plus you need to have any old interclub fees paid up. 2012 Interclub payments will need to be paid before you can play. 2012 Senior Autumn Squash Interclub - $20 each – needs to be paid before the competition starts. Entries open on 13th February Entries close: 16th February Format: 6 teams per division, one round of 5 matches. Women's teams will have 3 players compete on the night, men's teams 4 players. Play: Divisions will be split evenly between Monday and Tuesday evenings with the highest ranked divisions playing on Tuesday. Dates of Play
Masters Winter Interclub - 2 rounds of 7 matches + play offs Entries now open. Entries close: 3.00pm February 23rd Fees: $40 to be - paid before competition starts. Play: Wednesday night Dates: Round 1- March 14th JUNIOR SQUASH PROGRAMME – 2012 Term 1 WHEN: Mondays 4-5pm or Fridays 4-5pm 20/02 – 26/03 or 24/02 – 30/03 (6 weeks ) Suitable for beginners-advance Fun Games, prizes & giveaways COST: $ 60 PER PERSON / 6 weeks ( Bookings Essential ) ( rebate of $10 – complete attendance ) CONTACT: Manu at 021 886-583 Ladies Chelsea Cup Tennis The first week Feb 3rd was Browns Bay vs Campbells Bay. Campbells Bay won 4 matches to 2. Congratulations however must go to Sian English and Trixie Croad for both winning their matches in 3 sets. 10th February – Browns Bay played Milford but lost on a count back. Congratulations to: Heidi Stewart who won her singles in 3 sets; Caitlin Beazley who won in 3 sets; and Ladies Top Doubles who won in straight sets. Well done all of you. Unfortunately the bottom doubles just lost in a very close 3 set match. This week’s matches are being played at Mairangi Bay, then back here at Browns Bay on Friday night 24th February. I am sure the teams would love your support so come on down and watch some fantastic tennis and enjoy the Club’s facilities. Congratulations to Warwick Elley Warwick has come second runner up in the Mens over 80 years competition at the Tennis NZ Senior National Championships held in Tauranga. Also he won the 80’s and over Doubles with Ash Wilson. Well done Warwick! Other News:
